I saw the "Advanced Pavement Laboratory" at ASU! (We were there for Black Susan's wildly successful Ph.D. defense... hooray, Susan!) Also heard the following:
"I mean, she was being nice? For no reason?? Who does that?!" -very cheerful girl at ASU on her cell phone
I though I was a pessimist, but wow!

Hey, there's a lot of pavement in this country! We need good Advanced Pavement researchers!
(So to actually answer your question, no, she's not... unless germanium quantum dots are the pavement of the future.)
